PARTY HOSTEL! I want that to be the first thing you see, when you read the review. It’s a PARTY HOSTEL! It’s loud, with music blasting much of the time and with activities geared towards the college market. There are pub crawls, pool parties, drinking games . . . party hostel! I might be a little more sensitive, this time ‘round, because when I made the reservation — no mention of the party atmosphere in the reviews I saw — I asked if it was possible to get a room that was little farther away from noise, like elevators or stairs or ice machines. (I know it’s not always possible but it never hurts to ask.) So, when we arrived, and the music was already thumping by the pool, I was not-so-pleasantly surprised when they brought us to the room THAT WAS RIGHT ABOVE THE POOL/BAR. I don’t know if they have regular rooms on the other side of the building, those might all be shared hostel rooms and we had two private rooms, but these were the two rooms that were the absolute noisiest. Ear plugs helped with most of the noise — bass thumping is bass thumping, regardless of where you are — and, to be fair, the music did seem to get turned down around 10:30 and it was very quiet after that and, probably, on nights when they weren’t running special events. (Remember, most of the people here are visiting Siam Reap and are heading out for sunrise . . . getting some sleep isn’t a bad idea.) One thing I noticed in particular; there were very few people hanging around the pool and bar those nights and those who were seemed to be having conversations. So, having the music blasting wasn’t really serving anyone. It’s important to note, however, that the rooms were spotless and well appointed, though they never could get the TV — only YouTube Channel supposedly available — to work. The bathrooms were nice and the shower had plenty of hot water! The beds and pillows were comfortable; the included breakfast was tasty; the whole place was clean and conveniently located . . .

Definitely the best hostel I have ever stayed at! Was meant to stay there for three nights, stayed 6! Clean, spacious with great amount of activities planned out in a week. The room itself was specious with a separate hallway for your baggage, lockers and hangers. The bed was comfortable. I really appreciated the privacy curtains and good lamp. WiFi worked perfectly. Shared shower and toilet were always clean. Even the music was playing there! There is a guarded parting for the guest for their bikes and scooters! The reception was always attentive and helpful. Helped me with bus to Laos, printing and Cambodian outfit rental and my lost scooter key, which they found the next day. The manager had great positive vibes. The food was okay, fairly priced. The swimming pool was a plus. Thank you Lub d team! Great job everyone!

Lovely hostel! Personell are very friendly, helpful and attend your every need. They organise tours, scooter, etc. The pool is great for afternoon cool down after exploring and it's very central. They've got good facilities, bar, pools, chill out rooms etc. Everything is very clean, large and spacey. The dorms are huge, 50sqm, with good air con, a huge locker that also functions as a table, personal clothes hangers/dry rack (!) and comfy beds. The top bunk has a middle stairs so the person doesn't have to awkwardly climb up over the other bunk to get up. Party vibes but not obnoxious and you can be sure to get your own space.

The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfy beds. The light system was good too. Lights when you came in don't disrupt people if they are sleeping and the curtains each bed meant you had privacy and could read or whatever without bothering others with light being on. The pool was lovely and the food was also decent and affordable. The staff were very helpful and speak good English. The bathrooms were excellent. They have hairdryers and straighteners and you can also do your laundry which is very handy. I loved that there was a quiet air conditioned room round the back that you could work in or get some down time.

Jenna

We had such a great time! One of the best places we stayed in southeast asia. The rooms were spacious and had big enough lockers to fit your whole suitcase. Beds were very comfortable, I got some quality rest time. The stairs to get to the top bunks were so smart and convenient. Privacy curtain was on point. Staff was always helpful and on hand to fix any little thing that came up. Cool vibe and activities. It seems to be a lively party hostel but as it was low season there were calm moments which I really appreciated lounging by the pool. Wouldn't hesitate on coming back.
